Founder’s Day

The Military Order of the Purple Heart celebrates Founders Day Dinner on February 24, each year. The purpose of the dinner is to enjoy the fellowship of fellow patriots and to celebrate the 288th Birthday of the Purple Heart Founder, Gen. George Washington.

We have a great deal to be thankful in Chapter 1836, for the camaraderie we enjoy with fellow patriots, the blessing of our families, citizenship in the United States of America for which of our members gave his or her blood. We also celebrate more than 40 years Anniversary of Alamo Chapter 1836 which was established on February 26, 1982, and is the largest Purple Heart Chapter in the Nation.
